Bridging the Gap Between Robotics Innovation and Construction Demand

Canada faces an unprecedented need to build more housing, modernize critical infrastructure, and deliver major projects, all while navigating persistent labour shortages, productivity challenges, and rising costs. Robotics and automation are increasingly viewed as part of the solution, yet adoption across the construction sector remains uneven and fragmented.

At the same time, Canada is home to a growing robotics ecosystem with strengths in autonomous systems, AI, sensing, manipulation, and advanced manufacturing. The opportunity is not simply to develop more technologies, but to better connect robotics innovators with industry needs and create the conditions that enable broader adoption and commercialization.
