Dr. Yi Li is Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Maple Advanced Robotics Inc. (MARI) and serves on the Industry Committee of the Canadian Robotics Council. At MARI, he drives innovation in robotic platforms for flexible manufacturing, with expertise in freeform surfaces and automation. Formerly Senior Manager of Robotics and Process Automation at Magna R&D, he has 20+ years in vehicle design, automation, and leadership. Holder of multiple patents, he has led NGen-funded projects such as AARS and VGRA. His contributions earned the 2024 Automotive News PACEpilot Award and the 2025 Hannover Messe Robotics Award.
