Ryan is an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario Canada. He is an expert on supercomputing having contributed innovations (software, interfaces and co-design) in 8 of the top 10 world ranked supercomputers. Ryan has won several awards for his research including two “Research Oscars” (R&D100 awards), a US defense program award with exceptional distinction and best paper awards.
