Ioan is a professional engineer with 18 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, specializing in industrial automation, controls, and equipment safety. He makes regular contributions to robot safety standards such as ISO 10218 as Chair of the ISO TC299 Canadian mirror committee and vice-chair of CSA Z434.

He currently works at Honda of Canda Mfg. in Alliston Ontario, supporting the two frame plants where Honda Civics and CR-Vs are produced. As Technical Standards & Strategy Lead, he leads a team focused on providing engineering solutions and best practices to the over 200 engineering associates employed in manufacturing operations.
